Thus, the built-in stabilizer (clutch) reliably prevents the chain from hitting the derailleur and chainstay remaining firmly in place. When passing on the road surface, where chain control is not vital, the clutch can be deactivated by simply moving the dedicated lever. The rear derailleur has its own adjustment screw, on which the cable tension can be adjusted, and 13-tooth pulleys with sealed, extremely efficient bearings.
