At Syncros, they mostly use unidirectional carbon fibres. These exhibit higher tensile strength and elastic modulus than the various woven carbon weaves (tensile strength is the amount of force required to cause the fibres to break, while elastic modulus is a measure of the stiffness of the carbon fibres). They are then arranged to get the best out of them (along their fibre length) and achieve stiffness (or flexibility) where needed. The internal graphs of the sheet are different depending on how they are placed (0°, +- 45°, 90°), and this gives the possibility of creating very light carbon products that allow Syncros to be one of the leaders in innovation in this field.
