A great tire for truly extreme conditions like the 2018 CX World Championships where it won four of five gold medals. This handmade PRO version combines a supple Super Polyester casing with the standard Smart Compound. This Challenge TLR model is hookless rim compatible, and is designed to be compliant with UCI tire-width rules with most rims having an internal rim width up to 23mm.

Construction: Handmade

Casing: Super Polyester 300TPI
Super Polyesters with higher thread counts of 220-300tpi make up the most affordable handmade casings. Polyester is much softer and stronger then nylon, is impervious to water and quite durable.

Compound: smart
The standard rubber compound, SMART is the perfect balance of durability and performance. The handmade construction ensures that the tread compounds are never hardened or heated by the vulcanization process.

Puncture protection: PPS
The Puncture Protection System (PPS) is a tough, tightly-woven fabric placed between the tread and casing to increase puncture resistance.
