The perfect companion for sporty outings B+ tyre: B+ tyres guarantee particularly high riding comfort. Thanks to the larger diameter, the tyre overcomes obstacles more easily, offers more traction and hugs the trail instead of riding over it. The weight of these tyres remains relatively low. Thanks to the specially optimised casing, it is possible to fit B+ tyres with less air pressure than normal. B+ tyres therefore offer a special grip experience. Safe on mountain terrain and equally ideal for touring mountain bikes, good grip thanks to the snappy centre and grippy outer blocks.

Black Chili Compound
The crux of cycling. The running properties of a tyre's rubber compound are largely determined by three interacting factors: static friction [grip], rolling resistance and mileage. The dilemma: if you improve one of these factors, at least another will get worse. A tyre with maximum grip wears out faster and rolls slower. If you make the tyre faster or stronger, its grip is reduced. With BlackChili, a tread compound always based on the latest discoveries in polymer and raw material research, Continental has provided the cycling scene with a lasting answer. Depending on the area of use of a tyre, they adapt the formulation of the compound specifically, whether for racing bikes, mountain bikes, time trials or downhill. For BlackChili, they refine special synthetic rubbers with proven natural rubber to create particularly high-performance compounds. Soot particles are then added to these mixtures, which in turn are optimised in terms of shape and surface properties. The complex compound technology is so sensitive that tyres with BlackChili compounds are produced exclusively in Korbach.

ProTection Apex
Enduro is the name of the discipline that has been growing in popularity for some time now. It is the technical challenge of fast, hard descents and energy-draining climbs. This requires a combination of puncture-proof construction, good rolling characteristics and excellent grip. ProTection protects the tyre from cuts and punctures, but without increasing its weight excessively. The additional stabilisation of the Apex sidewall protects the tyre from punctures even at low pressure. To optimise weight, the tyre can also be used in combination with Conti RevoSealant ‘Tubeless Ready’. With the BlackChili tread compound, it is the ideal combination for efficient uphill riding and puncture-free downhill riding.
