The ONE-SIXTY 700 synthesises all the cutting-edge enduro performance of the radically new design, but with an all-aluminium frame of the highest quality and full functionality. This means a modern, punchy geometry with the new FAST kinematic suspension that offers a precise ride together with Marzocchi and Fox suspension. The proven Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain means reliable gear changes time after time, while four-piston brakes keep everything under control. Evolution or revolution? How about both? The ONE-SIXTY 2022 has a completely new and radical design that pushes the enduro product to new levels. The new suspension system uses a flexstay design with an adjustable rocker arm, so whether you choose to use it as a full 29er configuration (162 mm travel) or mixed 29/27.5’ (171 mm travel), the geometry is preserved. Seat tube angle of 79° and a head tube angle of 64° plus a 170 mm fork to tackle the chaos of downhill trails. The new sizing allows cyclists to have a longer or shorter reach frame regardless of their height, while the suspension becomes more progressive as size increases, all with long-stroke telescopic seatposts. WIRE PORT cable routing and a reliable threaded bottom bracket complete the package, while carbon frames offer space for integrated tools and FidLock magnetic bottle cages.

Technologies

PROLITE 66 TRIPLE BUTTED ALUMINIUM
Our proven high-end aluminium (6066) is extremely light and strong. By using triple wall thicknesses and hydroforming technology, we can fine-tune the aluminium tubes to offer the best possible stiffness-to-weight ratio.

HFS - HYDRO FORMING SYSTEM
Tubes are inserted into negative moulds and a hot emulsion of water and oil is forced under pressure, allowing them to form complex shapes.

X-TAPER HEADTUBE
Our X-Tapered headtube offers space for mounting a tapered fork. Tapered forks offer exceptional stiffness and precision, and provide confidence-inspiring steering.

SMOOTH WELDING
Sometimes called ‘double pass welding’, a second pass on the weld gives the frame a clean, organic appearance. At first glance, you'll be convinced it's carbon.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike has a clean look, while the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.

NON-SLIP TIGHTENING
Selected bolts can be tightened on one side only, without the risk of the opposite side slipping or rotating, enabling faster and more direct tightening of important hardware components.

P-FLEX
The softness of the material and the specific shaping of the tubes allow the frame to flex near the junction of the saddle and chainstay, making an articulation point obsolete. By not fitting a pivot point at the junction of the saddle and chainstay, we save weight and add rigidity.

WIRE PORT
MERIDA has designed covers that allow all control cables to enter the frame through the headset, creating a clean and uncluttered appearance without making structural changes to the frame. Depending on the model, the cables pass completely inside the handlebar (including the stem) or semi-integrated where the cables enter the frame below the stem.

FAST KINEMATIC
Flexstay rear suspension platform that has size-specific suspension kinematics, with longer reach models that have greater progression to better suit tougher and/or heavier riders. Adjustable plate to use full 29er or mixed (27.5-29) wheel configurations while preserving geometry.

LONG FENDER
ONE-FORTY and ONE-SIXTY can be fitted with an elegantly integrated and removable full-length rear wing that provides the rider with excellent protection from dirt and water spray from the rear wheel. This is in addition to the standard short mudguard, which helps protect the main pivot and cables, prolonging their service life.
