Specialized MIO 2 Mips child helmet

A product that is the result of a collaboration with the KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Mips, Specialized shared CAD designs of the helmets and studied the still tender skulls of young children with finite element analysis (FEA). Because children's heads are softer and and growing, the need for the use of low-density foam, and a larger amount of it, was established with this collaboration.

Innovation based on data
As a result of the collaboration with KTH and Mips, for the Shuffle 2 LED helmet, the addition of 16.5 percent more low-density foam increased the helmet by only 2.5 percent in overall size.

Comfort
The Mio 2 may be equipped with the latest technology, but it is no use if the helmet is not worn properly. That's why the Mio 2 is available in specific sizes for children and features the SX adjustment system, so it adapts to head size and ensures maximum comfort at all times. With the Tri-Fix strap spacer, adjusting the fit of the helmet is really a breeze.
