This handcrafted PRO version combines a flexible Super Polyester casing with the standard Smart Compound. The new Easy-Fit Shape moulding process gently preforms the tyre for easy fitting and inflation. Challenge handcrafted tyres combine comfort, performance and grip in a way that other tyres cannot match. Challenge handcrafted tyres are assembled step by step by skilled craftsmen. High-quality natural glues and latex coatings are applied to ultra-soft casing materials such as silk, cotton or polyester. The result is a tyre produced in small batches with a simply superior riding feel.

CASING: Super Polyester 220TPI
Super Polyester with a higher thread count, between 220 and 300 tpi, is the most affordable hand-built casing. Polyester is much softer and more resistant than nylon, is waterproof and quite durable.

Compound: Smart
The standard SMART rubber compound offers the perfect balance between durability and performance. Handcrafted construction ensures that our tread compounds are never hardened or heated by the vulcanisation process.

Puncture Protection: PPS
The Puncture Protection System (PPS) is a strong, tightly woven fabric placed between the tread and the casing to increase puncture resistance.

PPS is a strong, tightly woven fabric placed between the tread and the carcass to increase puncture resistance. PPS is lightweight and does not affect ride quality, so we include it in almost all of our tyres.
