Modern cross-country trails are more challenging than ever, which is why Merida has also made the latest BIG.NINE XT more capable than ever. The lightweight CF3 carbon frame has room for 2.4" tyres combined with progressive geometry and AGILOMETER sizing offering extra comfort and control while maintaining the uphill speed riders need. The RockShox SID fork offers 100mm of well-controlled travel with a handlebar-mounted lockout, while the benchmark 12-speed Shimano XT drivetrain offers extremely precise gear changes. Mountain biking is one of the most varied cycling disciplines and probably the most demanding in terms of equipment. While semi-mountain bikes offer amazing riding characteristics, the classic hardtail remains one of the purest tools for the job. The BIG.NINE range equipped with 29" wheels is available in carbon and aluminium and features multiple geometry options. The upgraded BIG.NINE carbon CF and aluminium LITE frames offer truly modern geometry with more room to manoeuvre and stability to better cope with today's tough race tracks, with downcountry-ready TR options that increase fork travel and add aggressive tyres and telescopic seatposts. The more relaxed geometry of the BIG.NINE TFS and SPEED offers a more comfortable and upright riding position. The classic hardtails are the backbone of the range and show the enormous wealth of experience and knowledge that we have been able to acquire over almost half a century of producing and manufacturing bicycles.
