The SILEX 4000, winner of the Taipei Cycle d&i Award 2024, is the gateway to the carbon fibre frame range, combining a lightweight frame and high-end Shimano GRX components with a double crankset. Robust tubeless-ready Maxxis Rambler tyres and mountain bike-inspired geometry provide exceptional grip, while quality MERIDA components deliver uncompromising performance. The SILEX turns every ride into an adventure, whether you're tackling a multi-day bikepacking trip or simply the most fun route to work. With numerous test wins, praise from the press, industry awards and even a world title, the SILEX takes the off-road capability of gravel bikes to new levels, thanks to a more open steering angle and greater wheel clearance for tyres up to 700x45 mm or even 42 mm with mudguards. Merida has combined that confident mountain bike-inspired handling with all-terrain versatility, making it absolutely stable when loaded with luggage, but still fast and fun when you decide to push. Merida has also added the WIRE PORT cable routing system for an improved look and fewer exposed cables, and the carbon fibre fork used on all models now has more cargo mounts and an internal dynamo hub passage.
