The fastest, most capable and fun gravel bike Specialized has ever produced. It's snappy and agile under stress, stable and secure if the terrain gets challenging. It has gravel geometry, and ample tyre clearance. Everything Specialized has learned about road and off-road has been harnessed to make the Diverge, which is set to write a new chapter in the gravel category. Specialized decided to break with classic gravel geometry. The Diverge has the most progressive geometry ever created for a road bike, to create a bike that is capable and stable off-road, but snappy and agile on the road. The reach has been increased, a more relaxed head tube introduced and a higher offset fork adopted. A shorter stem keeps the length of the front suspension short for a lively ride. Specialized envisaged a low bottom bracket for greater stability, while retaining the option of fitting 650b tyres if you prefer them.

Features

• The Diverge's premium E5 alloy frame is light, stiff and strong. With an all-carbon fibre FACT fork, this Diverge is light, lively and versatile.
• The frame is prepared with rack mounts, including attachments on the fork and top tube, to facilitate transport for any long-distance ride
• Nothing makes a bike more versatile than the space to fit wide-section tyres
• The new Diverge has a clearance of 47mm when using a 700c wheel and 2.1’ with a 650b wheel
• Thanks to a solid carbon insert behind the chainrings on the horizontal rear chainstay, drive side
• More space without increasing the length or using a flimsy, low-profile chainstay
